Phriend has one flow for every activity, from a two-hour coffee chat to a full-day hike. Here it is end to end, with the rules that apply at each step.
1. Find a Phriend and say hello
Browse by city, activity, language, age and rate. Each profile shows the verified badge, the services with their prices, the weekly availability, the non-negotiables and reviews. Sign in, verify your ID once, and message the Phriend from their profile. Say what you have in mind, when, and where you want to meet. The chat is the record for everything that follows.
2. Send a booking request
From the profile, pick a service if the Phriend lists one, then the date, start time, number of hours and a public meeting place. Requests can go a couple of months ahead, and the app only lets you pick times inside the Phriend's availability. If the Phriend has locked out the date, or already accepted another booking at that time, the request is refused before it is sent.
3. Accept or decline
The Phriend gets a bell notification and an email, and accepts or declines with one tap. A decline or a cancellation needs a short reason. Once accepted, both sides can add the meetup to their calendar from the app.
4. The meetup
Meet at the public place you agreed on. The Phriend has already chosen what they ask for at the start, and it shows on their profile: nothing, 25%, or 50% of the total. Whichever it is, it is cash handed over in person when you meet, and the balance is cash when the meetup ends. If either member shows up with people who were not agreed in the chat, the other should not proceed: leave, and report the profile. That cancellation is refunded in full.
5. Completion and review
After the meetup time has passed, either side marks the booking completed. The client can then leave a star rating, a few words and photos. The review shows on the Phriend's profile once the Phriend approves it, and one member can review a given Phriend once.
Money, in one paragraph
Money never moves through Phriend, and before a first meetup it does not move at all. Every downpayment option is cash in person: the Phriend picks none, 25% or 50%, you hand it over when you meet, and the rest is cash when you finish. Nobody may ask you to send anything before you have met, not a transfer, not a reservation fee, not half to hold the date. Once you have met and book again, an advance is up to the two of you, agreed in the chat and sent only to the account the Phriend gave there. Phriend takes no commission either way.
Cancellations and lateness
Cancel at least 24 hours before the meetup when you can. If the other member is more than 30 minutes late without notice you may cancel, and a late Phriend refunds any downpayment already paid. Every cancellation carries a reason, and repeated no-shows are grounds for removal.
For Phriends: keeping the calendar honest
Set your weekly hours and lock out the days you are busy from the Schedule page; the app refuses requests outside them, so you never have to decline for that reason. Accepted bookings cannot overlap, and the dashboard tracks bookings by status, reviews to approve and an earnings estimate.
